A Pre-Geriatric Saga: The Biopsy Blues

Before I discuss this matter, it needs to be prefaced: All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” [Bold added.] That is from Brother Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:12 KJV. He said that although he can do or say what he wants, it’s not always the best choice under the circumstances, and whether he does or not, the choice he makes won’t run him. He’s still God‘s child, regardless; right or wrong, it doesn’t change who he is. That goes for everyone.

And once you are forgiven by the Lord and embrace it, your [previously] dormant internal power returns, and you call those things that aren’t as though they were, easily and frequently. AND IT WORKS. This is Jesus speaking [with bold added]:

Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or believe because of the miracles I have done [the works themselves]. I tell you the truth [Truly, truly, I say to you], whoever believes in me will do the same things that I do. Those who believe will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. [They will do greater things because all believers—not just Jesus—will have the Holy Spirit living in them and empowering them.] And if you ask for anything in my name [asking “in my name” means acknowledging that Jesus is the mediator between God and human beings; the name represents the person], I will do it for you so that the Father’s glory will be shown [L the Father might be glorified] through [or in] the Son.”  That is the Gospel of John, 14:11-13, from The Expanded Bible (EXB), Copyright © 2011 Thomas Nelson Inc. What Jesus says here is that because the Father is in him and vice versa, he has the power to do it all. He’s asking the witnesses to believe it, for the work’s sake that they saw with their own eyes. And he issues a covenant, which is what you get when he says something twice, it’s a binding agreement. ‘Verily, verily.’ ‘Abraham, Abraham.’ Jesus tells us that not only will you be able to do the same because of your belief, you’ll be able to take it higher, to the next step, because he’s leaving us here to do the work while he returns to Heaven, his original home. We as a society are WAY behind on that one, this work he left us to do, but that’s a subject for another day. Right now, we’re talking about pre-ordination and innate power. We are ALREADY healed, we are ALREADY saved, it was ordained from the foundation of the world. We ALREADY have divine power to get it done, we don’t have to look for it, it’s internal. That’s what we’re working with here, nothing else.

———-

OK, we needed all of that, and then some. Next week, there’s a biopsy in my immediate future. This post is being written because the Lord Himself stopped me from freaking out when I was told it was necessary. I am thoroughly convinced that He has the final word, so I am comforted. The ten days between them telling me and the date are dwindling fast.

No sense in going backwards, as I try to tell my nieces and nephews. Whatever happened in the past is a guidepost for your future, if it didn’t kill you. Although those conversations were majorally on other subjects, as I haven’t discussed this matter with them, the principal still applies. I try to explain that to the one who thinks there’s no redemption. So then, what do you go to church every week for? Duh? They’ll learn, eventually. I hope it’s without sore affliction, but we can’t count on that.

Moving on – this post is a catharsis, pure and simple, so please indulge me. There is no deep revelation to offer, nor one of my usual semi-sarcastic pronouncements, following a quick [but thorough] analysis. All I can hold onto is His Word; what He said to me directly, read and absorbed all of these years that I know for a fact are true. It’s something to apply when you’ve experienced God’s word working personally. You can pray for everyone else and see them come though a situation, but when it comes to your own issues, you question your own power, in which you were so confident a few minutes ago. Yes, you still got it! Now use it – on yourself!

The Pre-Geriatric Life

The accumulated years that one exists in this realm, on this plane, are so precious. Once you’ve been dragged through the mud a few times and have the audacity not only to survive in your right mind, but also come out with POWER, it’s disconcerting to folk who ‘knew you when’ if they were seeking your demise. Ask David. The only thing to tell them is to keep living, and you’ll understand. Otherwise, I can’t help you. That is – you can lead a horse to water… Right?

Being pre-geriatric is like a new discovery. You’re not old enough for Medicare or other perks they have now for folk over that threshold [which your govt. continues to move the age up on one hand, and tries to legislate into oblivion on the other]. But you are old enough to not be able to walk as many blocks as you once did, and ride through a big box store rather than walk from one wall to the other, which is probably almost two miles! Sorry, Charlie, I’m RIDING. But it’s also a place of peace; that’s because you know firsthand that GOD CAN. You also have the ability to SEE IT COMING, in the first sentence anyone speaks to you. The church people call it DISCERNMENT. One’s aura precedes them, doesn’t it? Now we know why the old folk would listen to your long explanations, and say ‘Yeah, baby, is that right?’ We are becoming them; we don’t want to hear it, but are trying to be polite!

Being pre-geriatric also means time is no longer relative, it’s a commodity. We won’t let anyone waste ours. Send it in writing, otherwise it’s invalid. You can talk until you’re blue in the face, it won’t matter. We don’t believe anything but Christ and Him Crucified. This is how it is, take it or leave it, and have a nice day while doing so. The time to debate is over, because you KNOW THAT YOU KNOW, on more subjects than the average person will ever learn. They’ll do well to listen to you, if you are at this point in life. Everyone who talks to you will learn something profound. And the 1st book will be out at the end of the year!

Even I must admit – this is the most perfect example of avoidance ever written. The bottom line is – when they do the biopsy next week, what they originally saw will no longer be there, because God already took care of it for me. It was a guess, anyway. ‘We see something but can’t determine its status unless we go in and grab a piece of it to examine.’ Fine, fine, go right ahead. For once, WebMD couldn’t help. The hospital where it’s being done, who has a beautiful website, couldn’t help, either. Only GOD can do a thing like this. Solomon said that knowledge is vexation, and the pre-geriatric population deals with it daily. But Hebrews tells us why, and what to do about it so it won’t become burdensome:

It’s scary to fall into the hands of the living God! But remember the earlier days, after you saw the light. You stood your ground while you were suffering from an enormous amount of pressure. Sometimes you were exposed to insults and abuse in public. Other times you became partners with those who were treated that way. You even showed sympathy toward people in prison and accepted the confiscation of your possessions with joy, since you knew that you had better and lasting possessions. So don’t throw away your confidence—it brings a great reward. You need to endure so that you can receive the promises after you do God’s will.” – Hebrews 10:31-36, Common English Bible (CEB), Copyright © 2011 by Common English Bible.

Finally, the KJV version of the same verse for familiarity – “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”

So, we hold on to God’s Promises and believe KNOW that the situation has already been corrected. And the people said: AMEN.

Thank you, Brett. Waiting for the answer now. But you know something? If it weren’t as God said it was a few days back, they would’ve already called me. So your statement is CORRECT – His Grace & Mercy Brought Me Through! Thank you for stopping by.
